"Recently a relative of mine was admitted to hospital
for investigations and he also experienced a sudden loss of movement in
his leg. When we expressed our wishes to the staff to bring the relative
to the shower and needed a wheelchair to transport him, we were provided a
mobile commode. This was very disturbing and upsetting. With his impending
stay in hospital for a few more days, I knew my relative being a
young,active man prior to admission would feel the benefit to
his well-being if we had a wheelchair for him. The hospital
was unable to provide one for his use. I thought of Homecare Medical

was transferred to a ward that didn’t allow visitors but by having the
wheelchair to themselves they were able to go the hospital café themselves to
meet visitors. I also was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the rate
